10+ years’ experience with Middleware integration technologies like Biztalk, API’s, Informatica products PowerCenter, Metadata manager, Data Quality and other technologies.

• Working level proficiency with both Linux and Windows Operating Systems 
• Proficiency with Automation and scripting (Shell scripting, PowerShell etc…)
• Understanding of databases and query structure (MS SQL, Postgres, oracle, etc..) required.
• Continuous Identification and evaluation of evolving technology solutions
• Expert in maintaining high collaboration with cross functional skills and onboard new applications in various technologies
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies to support delivery teams with various middleware integration implementation.


•  Experience in applications monitoring and analyzing the logs using various tools – APPD, Splunk etc.
• Experience in service management tools like ServiceNow to manage Incidents.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and perform well with customers of varying levels of technical expertise in highpressure situations and complex environments.
• Technically enthusiastic and willing to learn and accept challenges attitude is required. 
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a multi-task and fast paced environment.

Middleware Support Engineer performs design, installation, creation, documentation, trouble shooting, supporting and enhancement of middleware infrastructure, software and processes. This role requires a solid understanding of real time as well as batch processing technologies and will also be responsible for administering common middleware and integration components both custom and Commercial products that supports multiple enterprise applications and multiple business lines. The main deliverables in this role in addition to deployments, debugging, monitoring and documenting middleware integrations is to understand the overall architecture and integration footprint and act as the support subject matters expert for various IT teams.

 

Responsible to manage middleware infrastructure and software for all non-production and Production environments both on prem and in the Cloud. 
• Maintain high availability and performance for production environments
• Work within a team environment, manage systems, lead upgrades, coordinate installs and work from a ticketing queue.
• Responsible for administration duties. This includes Product setup , upgrades, migrations, patching, storage management, security & performance tuning.
• Work with Developers and Architects in developing configurations based on requirements and build/ implement products to meet business demands.
• Evaluate system architecture and make recommendations as required. Identify innovative technologies to update existing technology and propose and participates in the planning of new and enhanced technologies or services within area of expertise. 
• Coordinate with vendors and development team on problem resolution, design issues and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in timely and accurate manner to improve application performance and functionality.
• Responsible for middleware development and implementation strategies for migration, consolidation and upgrade of middleware components.
• Responsible for documentation: Define operational processes for Run book and SOP documentation, automating routine operational tasks. Develop and implement standard processes for installation, maintenance and enhancement of middleware applications. Enhance Middleware and Integration operating procedures and engineering patterns
• Responsible for backups and to test recovery strategies periodically in non-prod environments. Also responsible to Iimplement procedures for maintenance, monitoring, backup, and recovery operations, includes regular reporting on health and performance of environment and processes.
• Develop and document disaster-recovery plans and participate in testing to ensure the environment is recoverable within pre-determined SLAs. Monitor test results, and make appropriate recommendations for future tests.
• Multi-Tasking capabilities and ability to work on multiple environments and projects as necessary under tighter SLAs for crunch situations 
• Serve as an escalation point for developers to surface problems and inquiries requiring further evaluation beyond the associate’s skill level.
• Accurately track and manage hardware / software assets. Generate periodic license usage reports to reconcile hardware / software assets inventory data with licensed products.
• Support information sharing and continuous improvement by mentoring or providing knowledge transfer to other IT staff
• Follow departmental standards and guidelines
