Role: Senior Software Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Backend Engineer to lead library and database version upgrades, ensuring system stability and security. This role involves upgrading outdated libraries and providing support for Vitess, MySQL, and Redis version upgrades.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Backend Engineer will be responsible for upgrading and maintaining outdated libraries, ensuring they are secure and compatible with the system. This role includes supporting and executing version upgrades for Vitess, MySQL, and Redis, while minimizing downtime and performance impact. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to test, validate, and deploy updates, optimizing database performance and troubleshooting issues related to migrations. They will ensure system stability through best practices for database scaling, backup, and recovery, and will also monitor and document upgrade processes, providing guidelines for future maintenance.

MANDATORY SKILLS
Excellent proficiency in Python and a strong background in open-source technologies and Linux environments. They should possess a solid understanding of REST APIs and their integration, as well as hands-on experience with MySQL, Cassandra, or other database technologies. Additionally, the candidate should have at least 4 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including the deployment and management of containerized applications.
