Job Description:

Required Skills & Experience:

14+ years of overall technology experience.
12+ years in data engineering, modeling, warehousing, metadata management, data lineage, and governance.
7+ years architecting data and analytics solutions, with multiple large-scale project implementations in hybrid (on-cloud/on-prem) environments.
Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
Proven leadership in data lake and analytical environment implementations.
Hands-on expertise in data engineering tools: Python, PySpark, Talend, BODS, Kafka, and APIs.
Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, and data modeling (using tools like Erwin and ER Studio).
Experience in building scalable data pipelines, data ingestion, data integrations, and traditional data warehouses/marts.
Proficiency in big data technologies, message queuing, and stream processing frameworks.
Strong analytical skills for working with complex datasets and data structures.
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as QlikView, Qlik Sense, and Tableau.
Experience collaborating in Agile environments.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the technical leader on the Data Engineering team, shaping IT processes and technology strategies.
Define and maintain the data engineering roadmap, and gain consensus from senior IT leadership.
Evaluate and recommend data tools, techniques, and solutions aligned with enterprise objectives.
Lead the end-to-end data engineering lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Architect, design, and implement complex data integration and analytics solutions in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
Lead discovery processes for changes in standards, tools, and patterns.
Play a key role in establishing data security and governance frameworks.
Provide mentorship and guidance to technical teams.
