Title: Quality Assurance Test Lead
Location:Hybrid(Merrillville, IN)- 50% travel between Columbus, OH and Merrillville IN. Hybrid Typically Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Duration: 6 months contract

Job Description:

The QA Test Lead will oversee testing initiatives within a designated functional domain, ensuring quality assurance best practices across Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
This role involves leading test planning, execution, and automation strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in software testing, project execution, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage test plans, scenarios, and scripts across functional and technical teams.
Lead manual and automated testing efforts, ensuring alignment with SDLC best practices.
Maintain reusable test scripts and ensure proper traceability between test cases and requirements.
Oversee test execution, track quality assurance metrics, and report program-level testing progress.
Conduct daily standups with testers, facilitate defect triage meetings, and ensure SLA compliance.
Collaborate with business leads to identify test scenarios and ensure comprehensive coverage.
Train and mentor test team members on best practices, tools, and frameworks.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency.
Ensure compliance with audit requirements and organizational QA frameworks.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Experience in Quality assurance, project execution, and process management.
Proficiency in testing tools such as Tricentis qTest and JIRA.
Experience working with distributed teams and in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
Strong understanding of SDLC, test automation, and quality assurance methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in ambiguous situations.
50% travel between Columbus, OH and Merrillville IN. Hybrid Typically Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
