Sr. Project Manager

We’re currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) Data Modernization Strategy. This role plays a key leadership part in coordinating cross-functional efforts across workforce development, data governance, and data systems.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate efforts and communications across all TDH Data Modernization initiatives.
Manage related procurements and contracts effectively.
Track and maintain budget and expenditures across multiple projects.
Oversee resource management and support workforce development efforts.
Lead communications through SharePoint, newsletters, town halls, and more.
Facilitate and support Data Modernization-related workgroups.
Manage documentation development, publication, and distribution.
Maintain project plans and oversee project tracking/reporting.
Assist with grant performance metric tracking and reporting.

📌 Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree + 6 years of experience in business systems/process analysis or project management (2+ years leading projects & 2+ years in contract management).
OR Equivalent experience may substitute educational requirements as outlined in the job criteria.

Project Management: Advanced knowledge of all project lifecycle areas (Scope, Risk, Time, Communication, etc.)
Tools & Tech: Microsoft Office, SharePoint, project tracking systems.
Soft Skills: Leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, delegation, and conflict resolution.
Abilities: Critical thinking, time management, multitasking, and comprehension of complex systems and documentation.
