Data Modeler Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain complex canonical data models, ensuring they align with business requirements, integration needs, and industry best practices.
Use SAP Power Designer to create, update, and optimize data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data model designs.
Ensure data models are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise data architecture standards.
Design data structures that support data interoperability and consistency across multiple systems, focusing on reusability and integration.
Perform data analysis and profiling to understand data relationships and transformations needed for canonical modeling.
Work closely with ETL developers, BI teams, and other data consumers to optimize data flows and ensure that the data models meet all performance and usability standards.
Define and implement data governance, data quality, and metadata management processes for models to maintain high data integrity and consistency.
Document data model designs, data dictionaries, and metadata to support data governance and enable easy maintenance and updates.
