Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in Oracle, Oracle PL/SQL, AWS Cloud, and Redshift to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and databases to support analytics and reporting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accessibility, reliability, and optimization across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Pipeline Development:
· Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable ETL/ELT processes to move data between Oracle, Redshift, and AWS.
· Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) jobs using SQL, PL/SQL, and AWS services (Lambda, Glue, etc.).
Data Warehouse Management:
· Develop, optimize, and maintain large-scale data warehouses, particularly in Amazon Redshift and Oracle.
· Perform performance tuning and optimization of Oracle PL/SQL queries and Redshift operations.
· Design and implement complex database schemas, tables, views, and indexes to support advanced analytics and business intelligence (BI) requirements.
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
· Build, configure, and manage data infrastructure in the AWS Cloud using services like S3, Redshift, EC2, Lambda, and Glue.
· Ensure data security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
Data Integration:
· Integrate various data sources into the data warehouse, including structured and unstructured data from third-party APIs, web services, and other internal systems.
· Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business Intelligence teams to deliver data insights and reporting solutions.
Automation & Optimization:
· Automate repetitive data tasks and processes to ensure efficient data operations.
· Continuously optimize and improve data pipelines to ensure scalability and minimal downtime.
Data Governance and Quality:
· Implement and enforce data quality checks and processes.
· Ensure adherence to data governance policies and best practices in data engineering.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience:
· 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Oracle PL/SQL, Redshift, and AWS Cloud.
· Extensive experience in developing and optimizing SQL/PL-SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers in Oracle.
· Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift including table design, data partitioning, and optimization.
· Expertise in using AWS services like S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, etc.
· Proven experience building, maintaining, and scaling data pipelines for large-scale data environments.
Technical Skills:
· Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL development (procedures, functions, packages, triggers, views, and indexes).
· Strong knowledge of AWS data services including Redshift, RDS, S3, Glue, EC2, Lambda, etc.
· Expertise in ETL/ELT pipeline design and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
· Strong experience with data warehousing and optimization strategies.
· Experience with data governance, data security, and data management best practices.
Soft Skills:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· AWS certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Big Data Specialty.
· Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar big data tools.
· Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
