Job Description:
- Client is changing the way we test our software, moving from a manual test dependent process to adopting the ‘agile mindset’ and associated principles. Leading the way to an automated future state. You will drive test standards across the business, Build and manage strong relationships between stakeholders, technology and associated third parties.
- In this role, you will be responsible for leading day to day quality test deliverables, planning & execution for a large program aligned to a single pod, or several projects within smaller pods.
- Your responsibilities will include Scoping, planning, preparation and coordinate the test activity for projects, releases, change and defect fixes to achieve successful delivery to time and quality.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Requirements:
- ISTQB Qualified – Test Analyst / Automation Engineer (preferred) Foundation Level (considered),
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Test Lead role – ideally within a Financial Services organization,
- Understanding of Test Automation including test tools,
- Knowledge of Java Core,
- Strong understanding of fundamental test processes,
- Good knowledge of Jira / Confluence & Zephyr,
- Ability to produce test products from business and project related documentation,
- Ability to develop effective working relationships and communicate with key stakeholders including test team members, business users, vendors and technology partners,
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills,
- Ability to work under pressure,
- Able to manage own workload.

The possibility of failure – where might we go wrong, how can i make them see where this could go wrong – what if? … what about?
4 – Risk Evaluation:
Identifying areas of concern early, developers are able to proactively remediate and reduce the overall risk of a production defect.
5 – Analytical Mind:
The ability to separate an item into its basic parts in order to examine the parts and their relationships. It involves thinking in a logical, step-by-step manner to break down a larger system of information into its parts.

Role Responsibilities:
· Engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the Group and third parties to drive Test outcomes,
· Mentor QAs and junior members of the team,
· Develop and maintain a detailed working knowledge and level of expertise to support each system / project,
· Ensure team create and maintain detailed test scenarios, test cases and test scripts which are fit for purpose for each project and test phase,
· Ensure project deliverables are met and delivered on time for each project and test phase,
· Understand and execute end to end test process, implementing quality recommendations in line with BNYM quality standards,
· Provide forecasted and actual test estimates to contribute to overall project or change planning timelines and resource requirements specifically for required testing cycles based on approved entry and exit criteria.,
· Manage issues, defects and observations in a timely manner where the business or functional requirements or process changes do not meet the aims and goals of the business area,
· Attend steer co meetings sharing Enterprise level test updates and escalations,
· Attend and chair team and business meetings to update on progress and status of work schedule and testing delivery,
· Creation and cascade of test artifacts,
· Test reporting to all stakeholders,
· Accurately scope and estimate work.
