Job Description
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Junior Software Developer with 2-5 years of experience to join our Operations Technology team on a contract basis. In this role, you will develop and maintain software solutions that support trade operations within the organization's technology framework. The ideal candidate should have experience working with trade files and trade processing systems, and a solid background in software development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, test, and maintain software solutions that enhance operational workflows within trade operations.
• Collaborate with the Operations Technology team to understand business processes and deliver technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and manage trade files for trade processing and reconciliation within the operations
• technology environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technology-related issues within trade operations systems.
• Assist in automating trade file processes to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy.
• Document system updates, workflows, and processes to ensure continuity and transparency.
• Optimize and refactor code to improve system performance and reliability.
• Support ongoing technology projects aimed at improving trade operations

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-5 years of software development experience, preferably within the operations technology or financial services sector.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, groovy.
• Hands-on experience with trade files, trade processing systems, and data reconciliation.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as Postgres SQL, etc.
• Familiarity with Object oriented programming principles, data structures, etc.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with columnar databases is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
