Required details:
POSITION: Technical Writer
Location: Jackson, MS (two full weeks per month)
Visa: Any visa is fine except H1B
Duration: Longterm

We are seeking a skilled technical writer to create and maintain technical documentation for our products and services. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills and be able to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities:

Work with subject matter experts to understand technical products, services, and processes
Write and edit technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and online help systems Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date
Use diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to enhance documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation meets business requirements and technical specifications
Test documentation to ensure it is user-friendly and easy to understand
Continuously improve documentation by incorporating feedback from users and stakeholders to stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in technical writing

Required Skills/Experience

Provide the minimum required skills and/or experience the contractor must possess to qualify for this position. These requirements will be transferred to the Score Sheet and candidates without these requirements reflected on their resume will

Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, English, communications, or a related field Proven experience as a technical writer or similar role
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skillsStrong attention to detail
Ability to learn complex technical concepts quickly Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and collaboration skills required experience in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred/Not Required :

Provide any skills/experience that would be helpful for the candidate to possess but not required. Examples: Previous supervisory experience, WebLogic experience helpful, etc.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and XML
Experience working in a Health and Human Services environment.
Experience working on large, complex Information Technology projects with multiple product owners.
