Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, design, develop, configure and maintain Gosu application code and configuration elements within Guidewire Studio.
  • Configure pcf screen layouts and write business logic and rules.
  • Integration of external and internal applications
  • Configure operational and administration related parameters such as roles, permissions, user attributes, regions, activity patterns etc.
  • Create solution design recommendations and estimates and effectively present solution options for implementation.
  • Optimize application performance.
  • Support testing and resolve configuration defects identified.
  • Hold the responsibility of code review, code cleanup, and performing sprint demos.
  • Support a CI/CD pipeline and Docker environments to enable responsive software delivery.
  • Leverage tools like AppDynamics and Splunk to monitor and improve the applications and to provide responsive feedback to stakeholders.
  • Support production applications and on-call responsibilities.
  • Interact with Analysts and Business Users to translate functional specifications into Technical design for implementation and deployment.
  • Creating new data model elements and extending the existing data model as part of user story requirements.
  • Proposing Configuration and Integration Solutions and estimate the effort for the same as part of User Story requirements.
  • Develop Wizards on Guidewire PolicyCenter for various policy transactions for Homeowners and Umbrella lines of business.
  • Implement the business rules & validation rules for various transactions in Guidewire InsuranceSuite


Required Skills:

  • Guidewire integration development across PC, BC and/or CC
  • 2+ years of development experience in Guidewire and demonstrated ability with GOSU programming
  • Acquire training in or demonstrate Guidewire related skillsets, like Guidewire plugins, Gosu script, and suite integration.
  • Experience with home, auto and/or commerical LOB
  • Strong skills associated with the design, development, modification and deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Strong J2EE, XML, SQL, or other object-oriented programming language knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with Agile methodology, software version control, and release management.
  • Preference given to candidates Guidewire technical certified in PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and/or ClaimCenter.
